Denise Ruth Woodall, PhD, is a sociologist, applied researcher, critical criminologist, structural inequality expert, and scholar-activist. As an instructor, she combines her expertise in sociology, criminology, identity, drug use, and activism to empower students and drive positive social change. With a focus on intersectional and standpoint perspectives, Dr. Woodall's work explores the complex relationships between race, class, gender, the criminal justice system, global security, and social institutions that contribute to social stratification and inequality.
